Like-Minded Connections

As we are gearing up for the Reader/Writer Get Together that Victoria, Summer, and Stephanie so generously organize, I find myself anxiously awaiting the coffee hour chats, after dinner conversations, and our breakout room chats with other JAFF fans around the globe. These are truly some of my favorite events and I cannot help but wonder if others, like me, join the WIP events and the Get Together because this is the medium through which they can chat with others who enjoy this genre. This exercise in community building is a unique opportunity where authors, readers, and those who are both discuss fan fiction and more. I am always amazed by the global reach JAFF has and how it seems to provide an immediate connection when meeting someone new. It often feels more like you’re meeting a friend you have yet to spend time with. 

From Facebook groups to Discord servers, the ways in which we can connect and interact are seemingly endless. Do you have other forums where you connect with like-minded JAFF readers?
